Indo-Bangla Captain Picks For GW 1 (2020-21)
Having the first GW deadline in the corner, this is high time to start tinkering on your captaincy choices. Here, me (@FPL_Bangla) and my friend (@aritravo_auddy) are trying to provide insights on your thought process. Let us be clear, we are not someone who should take your team's choices, but we want to be the material of your thought. This week's top three captain choices from our side are Aubameyang(ARS), Mane(LIV), and Vardy(LEI).
1. Aubameyang(ARS) Vs Ful(A).
The arsenal talisman who has scored 22 goals and 5 assists last season is being considered as a midfielder for this season by FPL, which means one more point for each goal and each clean sheet as well. Even though he is playing on the left side of the pitch, we all know that he is the main striking force of the gunner side.
To decide the captain, we always choose the weakest defense of the opposition. Among the promoted sides, Fulham FC has the worst defensive record in the championship where they conceded 48 goals in 46 matches averaging 11.3 shots per GW against them. All are expecting that Pepe will have a far better season this year and Aubameyang will also get a creative player like Wilian to feed him for goals easily keeps him as first choice captain on our thought.
2. Mane(LIV) vs Leeds(H)
With 18 goals and 10 assists last season, Sadio Mané looks set to start the season with a bang having looked very sharp in the preseason. He had 36 shots on target and 164 touches in the opposition box last season in the league. Leeds had the best defensive record in the Championship last season but playing in the Premier League is a totally different ball game altogether. Facing the Champions first up away to Anfield will be very difficult for Leeds and we expect Mane to do very well in this fixture.
3. Vardy(LEI) Vs WBA(A)
The last season top scorer will face one of the relegated teams as an opponent and he is the ultimate attacking force of his side. WBA was also vulnerable at their back during the championship last year where they conceded 45 goals and averaging 10.5 shots per game against them. The number will definitely increase once they will face all opponents in the premier league.
On the other hand, the last year's golden boot winner will get all creative forces in the mid to support him. If the team starts to click, we could get to see the Leicester team of the first half from last season. Against a promoted side, the last year's Golden Boot winner is our third choice captain for any FPL team.
